Rustenburg 55kW Commercial Solar System with 100kWh Battery Storage

A large-scale commercial solar and battery installation for an industrial property in Rustenburg — serious capacity, professional execution.

Commercial solar installation detail Industrial roof solar array overview Battery cabinet and inverter commissioning Completed commercial solar system Solar panels on large commercial roof

The brief

Multi Konstruksie completed this large-scale commercial solar installation in Rustenburg in 2026, delivering a powerful renewable energy and backup solution for an industrial property. This project was designed for a much higher energy demand than a standard residential system — 100 panels, a dedicated commercial power unit, and enough battery storage to keep a large business running through extended outages.

What we installed

  • 100 × 550W solar panels — total PV capacity of 55kW
  • Panels installed on a large industrial roof using access equipment for safe positioning at height
  • SunSynk Mobile commercial power unit — a professional inverter and integrated battery cabinet
  • Approximately 100kWh of battery storage for significant backup capacity
  • Full professional electrical integration, careful planning and commissioning

The result

During daylight hours the solar array generates clean energy to support the building's daily electricity requirements. Excess solar energy is stored in the battery bank and used during peak demand periods, reduced solar production, or when the grid is unavailable. This helps the client reduce reliance on Eskom, lower operating costs, and improve power stability across the site.

By installing a commercial SunSynk Mobile system, Multi Konstruksie provided the client with a compact, professional, and scalable energy solution suited to the demands of a larger business premises. The result is improved energy independence, reduced electricity costs, and greater protection against unreliable grid supply.
